Goodwerk is passionate about employing ethical and culturally responsive approaches to supervision. Our supervision style is rooted in the discrimination supervision model, that is, supervisors embrace attending to the needs of the supervisee by utilizing roles such as teacher, counselor, and consultant.
We intentionally adhere to and uphold the ACA ethical codes throughout the supervision experiences. Dr. Ferguson prides himself in critically challenging and empowering supervisees in ways that promote creativity, empathy, and authenticity in their counselor identity. Supervisees who seek supervision at Goodwerk receive guidance in obtaining a actively curated counselor identity, clear understanding of their social justice counselor identity, hours toward state licensure and certification, and becoming well-rounded and culturally responsive counselors.
As the founder and executive director at Goodwerk, Dr. Ferguson is an approved clinical supervisor and provides supervision support to licensed graduate professional counselors and pre-licensed counselors in Florida, New York, and New Jersey.
