Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Are sessions confidential?

We are legally and ethically bound to ensure your privacy and confidentiality. It is our top priority. We employ multiple levels of security to ensure the client’s information, identity, and what is discussed in session is safeguarded and confidential. It is important for us that you know exactly how your privacy and confidentiality are treated, for more information see our Privacy Policy.

Can my records be released to a third-party?

In the event that you would like the therapist to share any of your information or records to be released to a third party, please let your therapist know. Your therapist will send you an authorization form that you will need to fill out and sign before your information can be released.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that there are events that happen outside of your control that may impact our scheduled appointment. If you must cancel, we require at least 24-hours notice. Canceling with at least 24-hour notice will not result in any fees or penalties. If you are unable to provide 24-hour notice, you will be charged the full fee for our session.

How do live sessions work?

Live sessions are typically video sessions with your therapist. You will be placed in a virtual face-to-face setting (similar to Skype or FaceTime). You are encouraged to be in a safe and private place to ensure and maintain confidentiality. Once you enter the virtual room at the appointed time, you will be able to begin your sessions with your provider.

How often will I meet with my Therapist?

It is up to you and your therapist to decide on how frequently you will meet. Most clients start off with either weekly or biweekly sessions.
